Robin Wang

Professor Robin R. Wang is director of the Women's Study Center in Beijing, vice-president of the Association of Chinese Philosophers in America, and professor of philosophy at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Having received her Ph.D. from the University of Wales, Cardiff, in the UK in 1998, she has already authored three books and numerous articles and has served as a proposal reviewer and panelist for the National Endowment for the Humanities.  A new edition of her book Reason and Insight: Western and Eastern Perspectives on the Pursuit of Moral Wisdom, co-authored with T. Shanahan, has just been published, and Chinese Philosophy in an Era of Globalization and Images of Women in Chinese Thought and Culture: Writings on Women from Pre-Qin Period to Song Dynasty are forthcoming.
