Mary Evelyn Tucker

Professor Mary Evelyn Tucker is professor of religion at Bucknell University and coordinator of the Forum on Religion and Ecology. She is the author of Moral and Spiritual Cultivation in Japanese Neo-Confucianism and Worldly Wonder:  Religions Enter Their Ecological Phase and the editor of Worldviews and Ecology. Along with John Grim, she coordinated a ten conference series on World Religions and Ecology at Harvard's Center for the Study of World Religions.  The papers from the series are being edited for the Center and Harvard University Press, and Prof. Tucker is the co-editor of the volumes on ecology and the traditions of Hinduism, Confucianism, and Buddhism. She has also just published the volume Confucian Spirituality co-edited with Tu Wei-ming, and her newest book The Record of Great Doubts:  The Philosophy of Ch’i is forthcoming.
