Gerrie Ter Haar
Gerrie Ter Haar is professor of religion, human rights and social change at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, The Netherlands. Her publications include The Freedom to Do God’s Will: Religious Fundamentalism and Social Change; World Religions and Community Religions: Where does Africa Fit in?; Halfway to Paradise: African Christians in Europe; and Strangers and Sojourners: Religious Communities in the Diaspora. She is the secretary of the Dutch Association for the Study of Religion and the deputy secretary-general of the International Association for the History of Religions.
