James Fredericks

James Fredericks

Professor James Fredericks is associate professor of theological studies at Loyola Marymount University and a Catholic priest. A specialist in Japanese Buddhism and comparative theology and an active participant in Buddhist-Christian Dialogue, he was a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar and Numata Research Fellow at Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan in 1998-1999.  Professor Fredericks has worked closely with Masao Abe and translated his writings, including Inverse Correspondence' in the Philosophy of Nishida and A Cosmology of Awakening. His publications include the book Faith Among Faiths: Christian Theology and the Non-Christian Religions.
