Gerald Chan

Gerald Chan is senior lecturer in international relations at the University of Wellington, New Zealand; senior fellow of the Cambridge-RIIA China Project at the Center of International Studies at the University of Cambridge, UK; and life member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge, UK.  His research focuses on economics, globalization, and China, and his publications include four books on Chinese international relations; several book chapters on Chinese politics, and articles in Asian Review, The China Journal, The China Quarterly, Issues & Studies, Japanese Studies, Journal of Contemporary China, Pacific Affairs, Pacific Review, and Peace Review.  He is on the advisory or editorial boards of the New Zealand Journal of Asian Studies, AntePodium, Global Society and the Cambridge Review of International Affairs. Professor Chan has held visiting professorships and fellowships at the Australia National University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Kobe-Gakuin University, Peking University, and the National University of Singapore, and he is on leave during 2004-2005 as a senior fellow at the University of Cambridge.
