John Berthrong

Professor John Berthrong is Associate Dean for Academic and Administrative Affairs, Director of the Institute for Dialogue Among Religious Traditions, and Assistant Professor of Comparative Religion in the School of Theology at Boston University. As a leading proponent of interreligious dialogue and a renowned scholar of Confucian studies, his research interests include not only Chinese philosophy and religion but also comparative theology and philosophy. Among his most recent books are All Under Heaven: Transforming Paradigms in Confucian-Christian Dialogue and Tranformations of the Confucian Way. He is also a founding member of the North American Interfaith Network and a member of the Interfaith Relations Commission of the NCCCUSA He is also a Co-chairman of the Confucian Studies Group of the American Academy of Religion and Vice-President of the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies.
