Physicians: Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  LBMMC takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of these CME activities.  LBMMC designates this educational activity for 7.25 hours of Category 1 credit toward the California Medical Association’s Certification in Continuing Medical Education and the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.  Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Nurses: The California Board of Registered Nurses recognizes category 1 courses approved for credit by the American Medical Association toward meeting the continuing education requirements for license renewal.

Pharmacists: Coursework which meets the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and has been approved for continuing education by the Medical Board of California, shall, upon satisfactory completion, be considered approved continuing education for pharmacists.
