
Ines Talamantez, Ph.D.
Ines Talamantez, Ph.D., is Professor of Religious Studies at University of California at Santa Barbara. Coming from an Apache background, she is a leading expert on Native American philosophy and religion, with expertise also in women in religion, religion and ecology, and healing and religion. Among her courses is "Religious Responses to the Environment," and her numerous articles and books include most recently Teaching Religion and Healing (co-edited with Linda L. Barnes). She is currently Benedict Distinguished Visiting Professor of Religion at Carleton College.
